Truthfully, there were a handful of scenes in this book that moved me in both good and bad ways, but overall, this entire story made me so tense. There were entirely too many characters to keep up with, however, in fairness, this book is part of a multi-book series and I think the characters pop up in other books. Technically, this could be read as a stand-alone, but I do believe that reading the other books first would make this one a much more enjoyable experience.
