While I appreciated the romance in this version more than its movie counterpart, The Wedding Date, overall, this book was a bit too dated for me. I'm kinda over the whole "lose weight to get the guy" storylines and this story has it in spades. It's perfect if you are a fan of the Bridget Jone's Diary messy confessional type romance.
