Summary: In Heart’s Landing, Evelyn wants to prove she’s a good manager of the Captain’s Cottage by the bay—a favorite place for weddings. Meanwhile, Ryan has invested his life savings to remodel the town’s old boat works into a brand-new wedding venue.

When a Marine and his bride win the Wedding in a Week contest, they have seven days to put together a romantic, all-expenses-paid event. It’ll be written up in Weddings Today magazine. But will they choose Evelyn’s cottage or Ryan’s boatworks?

The rival business owners cozy up to the bride and groom, helping them plan their military wedding. And even though Evelyn and Ryan both grew up in Heart’s Landing, they learn they never truly knew each other until now. But can they trust each other when only one of them can win?

It's always a pleasure to return to Heart's Landing and be amongst characters that feel like friends now. This latest (and last?) installment of the Heart's Landing series is A Waterfront Wedding and features Evelyn, who we met for the first time in the second book, A Cottage Wedding, and Ryan, her business rival/former childhood friend. Despite meeting several of the characters in previous books, this is absolutely a stand-alone story that anyone can enjoy without reading the first two books.

While I do love a good Secret Childhood Crush, ESPECIALLY when it involves the BFF of a sibling or family member, I will say that this was not my favorite story of the three. Evelyn and Ryan's story was very sweet but it also felt rushed and both of their meltdowns were a bit too much for me. However, as I said, it is always a joy to be back in the town of Heart's Landing and watch those residents come together time and time again to not only give couples their perfect wedding day but to rally and help one of their own community members when they need it. Their closeness and obvious affection for one another is what has made this series so charming from the first time we stepped foot there to the last page of this book.

If you are looking for a quick sweet read, or have just been missing the warmth of Heart's Landing, you will enjoy this one.
