The Book
Edwina Darke is one of a trio of ghost-hunting sisters who rid clients of their unwanted supernatural visitors. A badass by nature, Edwina doesn’t run from haunted houses—she runs into them. Yet no matter how many “ghosts” she debunks, she remains troubled by a demon from her own past.
Simon Teal is the co-owner of a historic B&B in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, a town famous for its connection to the 1812 War. Simon doesn’t believe in the spirit world, but something is chasing his customers away, so he reluctantly allows the Darke sisters to investigate.
As the team uncovers the star-crossed love behind the B&B haunting, Edwina and Simon’s attraction flares. It’s the last thing either of them needs. The dedicated Edwina refuses to lose herself in another relationship, and Simon is still reeling from a terrible betrayal.

my thoughts
This new series centers around the Darke Sisters, a trio of ghost-hunting women who have found a following on YouTube with their investigations around the Toronto area. It’s looking like this will be a trilogy with each sister getting their own book (and HEA 🥰) and y’all, I am SO EXCITED because this first in the series was a blast to read. GHOSTS! HAUNTED B&Bs! MURDER MYSTERIES! ROMANCE AND SEXY TIMES *IN* THE HAUNTED B&B! Like everything I love about cozy mysteries and romance all rolled into one fun, spicy adventure. 😭🤩
DARKE PASSION (Book One) features, Edwina Darke, nicknamed “Ed”, the oldest of the Darke Sisters. Despite being an actual ghost hunter, she’s the skeptic of the group, always wanting their investigations to be legit and backed up with proof. She’s like, I *want* to believe, but there’s usually a reason for these occurrences. She’s legit a badass with all of her tech gear and standing up to evil entities. What I really loved about her though was that she was also the protector, not only of her sisters but her own heart. But, YOU KNOW, that all changed when my girl met one Mr. Simon Teal. 😌
Simon is a literal nerd-hot DREAM. A man of patient consent. 🥵 We love a man who not only gets in tune with his crush and can read her moods and expressions, but also when he gets a therapist when it's recommended he try it! Here for the mental health rep and pro-therapy talk. 🙌🏼
Overall, this book was a great set-up for what’s to come and I look forward to the next in the series!
